Special Classes

Foundations of Hand Balancing

SUNDAY, 4/26 • 11:45-1:15 PM

Part TWO!

This workshop is designed to support students at any stage of their hand-balancing journey, with a focus on the fundamentals of handstands and the skills that support balancing on the hands more broadly.

We’ll work through strength-building techniques, alignment cues, and accessible practices that help develop stability, stamina, and confidence upside down. While the primary focus is on handstands, the principles explored in this workshop naturally support other inversion practices as well.

This is a beginner-friendly and supportive space. You will not be encouraged to do anything out of your comfort zone for this practice — we will meet you where you are at. Options will be offered for students who prefer to stay grounded, as well as for those who are comfortable working at the wall and are interested in refining technique or exploring ways to move away from it.

Fun tip: Feel free to come to Gina’s 8:30 AM vinyasa class to warm up, head out for coffee or a snack, and then come back ready to play with inversions.

Restorative Yoga

SUNDAY, 4/26 • 5:00 - 6:00 PM

An easeful practice for all.  This class opens with a sequence of restful, prop-supported poses followed by an integrative body scan and deep relaxation.

Mobility Reset: Myofascial Release + Nervous System Regulation

Saturday, 5/9 • 1:00 - 2:30 PM

Join Kevin, former manager of Level Fitness in Bethesda, for a 90-minute hands-on workshop focused on improving how your body moves and feels through myofascial release and simple nervous system regulation techniques.

Using foam rollers and lacrosse balls, participants will learn practical myofascial release (MFR) techniques to help release tension and improve mobility. We’ll begin by exploring a few simple ranges of motion to establish a baseline, then identify and address areas of muscle and connective tissue that may be limiting movement.

Through a combination of targeted self-massage (MFR), active range-of-motion work, alignment adjustments, and simple breathing techniques, you’ll learn accessible tools to help your body move more freely and feel better right away.

Come learn practical techniques you can continue using at home to support mobility, recovery, and overall wellbeing.

Qi Gong

Saturdays starting 4/18 • 8:45 AM

QiGong is a gentle, intentional practice rooted in the understanding that the body and nature move together in cycles and seasons. When we align with these rhythms, we create space for greater balance and overall well-being.

In each session, we’ll explore simple movements, breathwork, and awareness practices designed to support the body’s natural flow of energy (Qi). We’ll work with purging exercises to release stagnant energy, tonifying flows to build and strengthen vitality, and slow, fluid sequences to encourage circulation throughout the body.

Our practice will also reflect the current season, supporting the organs and energy pathways associated with that time of year. Over time, this creates a deeper sense of connection—to the body, to breath, and to the natural world.

An easeful, restorative practice open to all levels, designed to support deep rest and nervous system regulation. As the body rests, Reiki is offered to support energetic balance and integration, deepening the sense of calm and renewal. This gentle, meditative experience is ideal for anyone seeking stress relief, restoration, or a mindful reset from the pace of daily life. Students often leave feeling grounded, soothed, and restored.

Gather in community to reflect, release, and reconnect through movement and moon magic. We’ll move through a lunar-inspired flow and explore the current astrological themes—looking at how the moon’s sign and aspects influence our energy and intentions.

As a group, we’ll pull oracle cards to deepen our reflection, set intentions, and align with the rhythms of the lunar cycle. This class blends yoga, astrology, and intuitive practices.
